Mad For Plaid NYFW 2018

New York Fashion Week is in full swing!  Despite all the craziness that is NYFW it’s still one of my favorite times of the year.  I’m lucky enough to say this is my third year in a row attending and am soaking up every second of it,  literally because it’s been raining the whole time! 😉

One of my favorite parts about NYFW is spotting all the new fall trends everyone’s wearing.  Plaid was definitely a major street style trend I saw & was already all about it!  This year plaid isn’t back in your typical country club plaid fashion but more of a 90’s revival.  Think of style icon Cher from Clueless!  Colorful plaid is back in all kinds of ways – matching skirt & blazer sets, to plaid shoes, trouser pants and the list goes on.

I decided to try out the vibrant plaid trend in a more minimalistic way with a plaid mini skort from Revolve.  If I really wanted to go all out, I’d rock it with a matching plaid blazer but this time I opted for this chic white blazer.  This was a major staple piece for me at NYFW that I got a ton of wear out of!  It’s the perfect piece to take a daytime outfit into night by dressing it up a bit. I finished the look with these white booties – which I happened to wear with so many of my outfits! I’m clearly not into the whole “no white after Labor Day” thing and in the fashion world that’s ancient history.
