It’s no secret that sometimes life can be downright stressful. I’ve always struggled with being too hard on myself and find it difficult to shut things off at the end of the day – especially since I work from home. I’m always making a to-do list and constantly thinking about the future. While it’s important to get things done, sometimes it’s important to take time to unwind & de-stress! It’s so important for me to clear my mind, find balance, and enjoy this beautiful life that I sometimes take for granted!
Take time to unwind, de-stress and treat yourself with these 5 ideas!
Read a magazine or book.
We all spend so much time on our phones & computers sometimes it’s nice to relax with a good book or magazine. I like to light some candles, snuggle up on the couch, put on some relaxing music and flip through Vogue.
Grab a glass of wine.
After a long day, having a glass of wine or two with my husband is my favorite way to unwind. One of our favorite bottles in Meiomi Pinot Noir or any wine from Trader Joe’s!
Spend time with your pets.
Spending time with my dog at night is noticeably therapeutic! Multiple studies show that playing with your pets regularly increases the production of stress-relieving hormones.
Take care of your skin.
