How To Transition Your Summer Wardrobe Into Fall

Every year around this time, I’m eager to dive full force into fall!  The August heat in the south can make this challenging, but it’s not stopping me from pulling out new fall pieces!  However, it can be difficult to know how to transition your summer wardrobe into fall.

I try to avoid wearing full-on fall attire from head to toe, otherwise I’ll end up looking like I just got done with a Flywheel class!  Instead, transition your summer wardrobe into fall by taking warm-weather classics – like these denim shorts and pair them with fall staples. This is not only perfect for those warm days that turn into cooler evenings, but also will help you extend your summer wardrobe!

When transitioning my wardrobe from summer into fall, I always seek out the basics first. Fall booties are always a must!  When pairing them with shorts, I almost always go for an open-toe option.  This year, these Kristin Cavallari booties were at the top of my wish-list from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. Another wardrobe basic I always purchase for fall is a faux leather jacket. A long sleeve top is another fall wardrobe must-have.
