I know I’m not the only one who has a hard time squeezing in a workout into their schedule. With work, family, planning a wedding, and blogging obligations most nights – it makes it hard for me to work out in the evenings. With my busy schedule, my favorite time to workout is actually midday. It breaks up my work day and makes my mind and body feel refreshed, and also makes it so that I’m not sitting at a desk all day long. If you have a job that has the flexibility of working out on your lunch break, it’s so worth it! Below I’m sharing my tips for squeezing your workout into your lunch break.
1. Choosing Your Workout
When you’re limited on time, you need to have an exact plan for your workout. I personally like taking a 45 minute spin class that’s conveniently located a minute from my work. It’s important to scope out gyms that are close to your office, so you’re not wasting time driving. Many gyms offer slightly shorter versions of workout classes during the lunch hour. Think of it as a “power hour” workout. If I don’t attend a class I like to do interval training, which involves switching quickly between high-intensity, short burst of exercises.
2. Getting Ready Post Workout
A common reason many people avoid lunch workouts is because they don’t want to go back to work looking like a sweaty mess. With the right products (and a gym that has a shower) I found that I can get ready in 15 minutes. Here’s a list of products I keep in my gym bag:
– Drybar Dry Shampoo
– T3 Hair Dryer
– Evian Facial Spray
– Neutrogena makeup wipes
– Dove Dry Spray
– T3 Styling wand
–Tory Burch Love Relentlessly
3. When To Eat
Most days I pack my lunch and eat at my desk after my workout. It’s not glamorous, but it saves time and money. It usually includes a Trader Joes salad and a Bai drink. Sometimes after a sweat sesh, I opt for a protein-packed shake that I can drink on the go. If you’re lucky enough to go to a gym with a smoothie bar attached, that makes things super easy.
Tomorrow is my birthday, so I thought it would be fun to answer some of your questions with my first Q&A. I’d love to for you to comment your fashion, makeup, hair, blogging etc. questions for me in the comment section below. Thanks for stopping by! xo

I always wondered how you go back to work after a mid day workout!
I would love to know about your favorite hair products/shampoo for keeping your blonde bright! If I don’t use purple shampoo my hair quickly turns yellowy 🙁
Loved this post, happy early birthday Steph! xoxo

These are awesome tips!! Someday I don’t have a true lunch break…only 30 minutes and I have to stay at work…but I really want to try working out before work sometime. Yes, that means I have to get up much earlier, but I like the idea of having it out of the way when I get off work for the day! PS Happy early birthday! Mine is on Saturday!

Lunch time workouts are the only way I get my workouts in. I can never get out of bed in the mornings and evening workouts I manage to talk myself out of. I love your look as well. Those Nikes are on my wishlist.
